BETHUNE BEACH PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION WEB SITE!

BBPOA Welcome Book Download

Nestled upon 600 plus acres between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, this quiet Volusia County beach community south of New Smyrna Beach features something for everyone. From the no-driving beach with great fishing and surfing, to the family-friendly Mary McLeod Bethune Beach Park, named after the famed African-American educator and founder of Bethune-Cookman College, where you can relax on the beautiful beach, let the kids play at the recently upgraded children’s playground, exercise at the tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, or fish and crab for your dinner from the riverfront pier while West Indian manatees bask in the nearby lagoon. At the south end of Bethune Beach lies the Apollo Beach entrance to the Canaveral National Seashore’s unspoiled 24 mile barrier island which includes many Timucuan Indian archaeological sites including the highest shell midden in the US, Turtle Mound, a navigational landmark since the early days of Spanish exploration.

Our website offers both residents and visitors’ community and Association information, a forum for your opinions and suggestions, a calendar of events, interesting links, and sponsorship information and opportunities. We welcome your interest in Bethune Beach, and, if a resident and not already a member, hope that you will join our Association as a property owner with a full voting membership or, if not a property owner, a social non-voting membership.
